Business Development Directorate, Bogor Agricultural University are called to develop the concept and the means to get healthy food for the community of IPB. Diner & Resto Zea Mays comes to realize these ideals. Naming Zea mays maize taken from the Latin language, which characterizes agriculture and diversity of products. Concept developed olehZea mays is “of, by, and for the civitas IPB”.
Zea Mays is one of the Supporting Business Unit (SUP), which is engaged in the service of cafeteria, restaurant and catering for the whole community of IPB in meeting the food needs of a diverse, balanced and nutritious appropriate tagline Healthy Food Variety.
Zea Mays is also the Laboratory of Food Diversification as a form of implementation efforts of the government program in the success of food diversification program at the public, especially residents IPB campus.
Diner & Resto Zea Mays stood since June 8, 2010 were originally managed in cooperation with PT. BLST, but the current management is directly under the Directorate of Business Development, IPB. Zea mays canteen located behind the building Andi Hakim Nasution makes this cafeteria is easily accessible by IPB employees and students who were on campus. The building consists of several parts, which includes a dining room, a VIP room, presentation room, preparation room, lounge bar, kitchen, warehouse, and office. The canteen operating time is at 08.00-15.0008.00-15.00 FREE pm.

DAY FOOD NUSANTARA
Tuesday is feeding programs archipelago. The program aims to introduce the kind of food the archipelago to the academic community of IPB. Examples of the food served is like karedok Sundanese food, pickled Bogor, ointment and others.
DAY EATING FISH
The program organized in order to increase fish consumption among the academic community of IPB. Fish is an animal food that has protein with a complete amino acids and essential fatty acids that are essential to the human body. Day Eating Fish in the cafeteria Zea Mays held every Thursday.
Bento is a product for a packed lunch into the diet of nutritious, balanced and varied. This is based on the importance of providing healthy food and cheap.
